Chris worked as a paperboy at age 10, delivering newspapers to the neighbors on his paper route after school in the suburbs of Philadelphia. Four years later, his first picture was published in the same paper.
Throughout high school, he went on to work as a professional photographer once he could drive, with his work published more than 500 times by the time he graduated high school. One notable assignment was coverage of the President's Summit for America's Future in Philadelphia, where he photographed then-President Bill Clinton and all living former presidents.
Another significant moment in his career was in 2005, when Chris had the privilege to be on site at Kennedy Space Center for NASA's Return to Flight of Space Shuttle Discovery, assisting with coverage for The New York Times.
