Indigo Skylab founder Chris Ian Garlington says of his journey, “I’ve always felt a deep mystical connection, but it’s long been confusing and even scary at times. My much-needed journey in soul-searching has shown me how to use my perspectives with clarity and humility which in turn give me a new approach to my worldly endeavors.” 

As a young photojournalist published at the age of 14, Chris spent much of high school away from it. Instead, he was out in the community each day, meeting people and photographing assignments for the regional newspaper. 

 By the time Chris graduated high school, his work had been published more than 500 times and he had a job offer from the Associated Press. He chose to start college instead. His work evolved through various phases including TV, magazines, newspapers, and film. 

Chris sees Indigo Skylab as a way to supercharge his passion for the arts and his ongoing desire to learn and grow as both a producer and a teacher. “My personal growth is allowing me to infuse my humanity from my lived experiences into my work.”
